Useful research. Clear limits.
Our guides help you compare journeys and prepare a flight enquiry. They are not a live flight-search engine and do not reserve seats.
Who and how
sthgilf.com publishes these guides using original, AI-assisted editorial research and structured public data. Source references and validation checks accompany each release. We do not claim firsthand travel experience or independent airline testing. New editorial content is held for a recorded release review; automated validation is not a substitute for editorial judgement.
Prices and flight times
An average requires a documented, comparable sample. A range and an advertised fare example are labelled separately. Figures must identify their origin, cabin, currency, trip type, travel period and baggage assumptions. Where evidence is insufficient, we omit the number. Prices are not bookable offers.
Flight times are airline-published estimates or individual itinerary examples, not route-wide averages. Connections include waiting time where reported. Airline examples do not imply a market-share or popularity ranking, and a guide may not list every operator.
Climate and seasons
NASA POWER supplies modelled regional monthly climate averages. The initial release uses the verified 2001–2025 baseline. Monthly precipitation is estimated from daily averages and calendar month lengths across that baseline, including leap years. It includes rain and snow water equivalent. Cloud cover is not a count of sunny days.
Seasonal windows combine climate data with visitor guidance. Peak and shoulder labels describe planning considerations, not measured visitor totals or guarantees about fares. Local events can change the picture; historical averages are not a forecast.
Keeping information useful
Fare research is due for review after seven days and current fare examples expire within 30 days or sooner when their source expires. Airline service examples need review after 30 days. Airport guidance is reviewed at six months and climate at one year. Expired service figures are suppressed rather than silently presented as current.
Each guide links to its sources and shows its substantive publication date. A failed refresh does not overwrite validated data. Changed editorial advice needs another release review.
Tell us what needs correcting
If you spot an issue, include the guide URL and the detail in a flight enquiry so it can be reviewed. Confirm current airport, baggage and operating-airline information with the supplier before booking.
